There are many ways your church can help support foster families!
Chosen Ones is here to support you as you begin to walk alongside foster families in your church.
Ways to get involved:
Host an A to Z's of Foster Care Informational Meeting
Is your church looking to recruit quality Christian foster parents? Would you like to host a Q and A session to inform your congregation about the statistics, licensing process and next steps to becoming a licensed foster/adopt parent? Chosen Ones is happy to come to your church and facilitate this meeting as well as coordinating local agency representatives who can help answer your questions! This meeting is best attended during, before or after a weekend service or on a weeknight during open church hours or classes.

Group serve volunteer days
Have your life group or youth group come and volunteer at our warehouse! We always have ways for you to get involved by sorting, hanging and organizing all types of donations. Please contact our Warehouse Director, Wilma May, at [email protected] for more information.
Hold a Donation Drive
Our Just 4 You Warehouse is always in need of specific items such as clothes, pajamas, shoes, socks and underwear. Your church can collect these items, bring them to the warehouse and we will post a picture and acknowledge your group on our FB pages!
Please contact our Warehouse Director, Wilma May, at [email protected] for more information.
Host a Foster Care/Respite Night
Having a night out without children can be difficult for foster parents because there are very strict rules about who is allowed to care for foster kids. This event at your church provides a safe, fun environment for the children and a much needed break for foster parents.
For more information, please contact [email protected].
Host a Foster Care/ Respite Training Weekend
This weekend allows parents to become state certified in respite care (temporary care of foster children for other foster families) in one weekend. This is a great way for others to help out those who are full time foster parents!
For more information, please contact [email protected].
Host a monthly support group
Foster and Adoptive parents are always in need of support. Would you consider opening your church to host a monthly meeting where families can meet and get support as well as form community with other foster families?
For more information, please contact [email protected].
